DAWSON BARRIUSO

(’17 finance, economics, political science, and statistics) completed an honors paper on international trade in butter and the effects of the change in the

European Community butter quota system titled, "The Interaction of U.S. Imports and Exports with Domestic and International Butter Markets." He presented the paper at the honors poster session.

TREVIN KENNEDY

(’17 agricultural business) participated in the Agricultural & Applied Economics Association Spreadsheet competition with the project, "Creating and Analyzing a

Cover Crop Enterprise Budget," and placed third.

SANJANA RAVI

(’17 economics and international studies) presented her paper, “The Scarring Effects of Youth Joblessness in Sri Lanka,” at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.

She later had the paper published by the Review of Development Economics. The paper measures whether an initial spell of unemployment at the time of leaving school results in greater difficulty of finding or retaining employment during the early work career.

GEORDAN HANSON

(’17 agricultural business) competed in the Agricultural & Applied Economics Assn. Spreadsheet Competition. His project,

"Farmland Appraisal Tool," placed second.
